Charged in Connection with Elderly Woman’s Death at Senior Living Facility
Abrianna Clark, a 27-year-old woman from Milwaukee, has been charged with second-degree reckless homicide in connection with the death of a 76-year-old resident at Story Point Senior Living in Mequon, Wisconsin. The tragic and preventable incident occurred on November 7, 2024, when the facility employee allegedly pushed the elderly woman during a confrontation turned violent.
This caused the vulnerable adult to fall and break her hip which led to her wrongful death. The victim was hospitalized and later transferred to another senior living facility, where she died on January 27, 2025, because of complications from the injury.
The incident was reported as an accidental fall, but the Mequon police police began an investigation after the facility director raised concerns. A witness stated that Clark admitted to pushing the resident and had threatened others about reporting the incident. However, Clark claimed the resident provoked her by hitting her with a ruler and breaking her glasses.
Clark then later admitted to the police she “found” the woman on the floor and helped her with another staff member. Clark was officially charged on May 20, 2025.
It is appalling that people like this are hired and care for vulnerable adults. Abrianna Clark was harmful to a resident, and that harm was a direct link to the resident’s death.
