A recent article showed how Trump is helping his billionaire buddies while debt and inflation increase and the government remains closed for business.

After hosting glitzy fundraisers for Donald Trump since 2016, billionaire John Paulson has finally received his reward from the President. Trump has approved the construction of a 211-mile road through the Alaskan wilderness.

The purpose of this project is unclear, as the White House claims it’s necessary to increase the wealth of the U.S., and grant the U.S. access to critical minerals. However, the only two companies that plan to operate the mine are foreigners: South32 Limited, an Australian company, and Trilogy Metals, based in Canada.

This new mine is reported to produce around $7 billion in mineral worth. So far, none of these minerals are expected to be possessed by Americans other than John Paulson.

This Alaskan Ambler Road project will threaten caribou and other wildlife, harm the Alaska Native tribes who rely on hunting and fishing but increase Paulson’s worth by millions, if not billions. While it is strange to hear the President dedicate so much money and resources into a project that doesn’t even benefit Americans, it makes sense considering how much his friend, John Paulson, will benefit.

After Paulson spent years fundraising for Trump’s campaigns, sometimes raising $50.5 million at a time, Trump has approved a project that will also exclusively benefit Trilogy Metals, the company Paulson has an 8.7% stake in.

As if to further solidify Paulson’s position as a crony to Trump, the United States has also bought a 10% stake in Trilogy Metals. After Trump announced his approval of Ambler Road, Paulson’s Trilogy Metals shares increased $70 million in value.

In addition to being a donor and fundraiser for Trump, he also served as an economic advisor to Trump during the president’s first presidential campaign. They continued to scratch each other’s backs, as Trump invested in Paulson’s hedge fund.
